They may never accept it, it is a race thing. Don’t let it bother you, as long as you and your husband are happy. Now if they give your kids a hard time, you may have to sit the in laws down and read them the riot act.

they are very old fashioned and stuck in traditional ways…it must be very hard for the both of you when his family dont accept you two together. Especially hard for them. Just carry on, show them how happy you are and they just have to learn to accept it because you two arent going to get divorced because of some silly old fashioned values. Do his parents take an interest in your children??

If they haven’t accepted it after three kids, chances are, they never will. And that’s okay. You love your man, he loves you, and ya’ll love your kids. That’s your family. Some people will remain the same to the end and it’s no changing them. So, you work life around them.

Sometimes you have to just say to people that you don’t give a **** what they think because you are happy. Some people only see color rather than seeing the person for who they are. They may never get over it. Just do the best you can.

Yeah old people are from a different era w/ different ideals, so their opinions are usually very different from ours.

People like that are very closed minded. They have no concept that skin color is of no importance, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
