I am a Filipina and my husband is from Europe so our offspring will be called Eurasian not Filipino. If our child will be born in the U.S. then the child is an American by birth but would still be Eurasian by origin. Marrying your own kind and being inter-racially married doesn't hold any assurance of having no difficulties but, I believe that respect and compromise are the key factors for a well foundation in marriage. If a caucasian person has a child with a philipino person the child will mostly look like the philipino parent because the gene is usually stronger. So the child will most likely be labelled as a philipino. But the child wont be any more philipino than he/she is caucasian. I wouldnt worry about how the world views your marriage, you should have equal rights as anyone else. These days everybody is getting married no matter what race, colour, sexuality they are.
