Your husband can get another passport if he really wants to . Its not his parents that are separating you , its your husbands desire or lack of desire to be with you. Good luck.

Do you have any other proof, you need to be care ful with ur husband. What do you mean he can’t do anything, he sould have given it a thought before marriage.
He is responsible, u need to sort it or else go to nearest police station and submit FIR against them.
No body can hold Passport od nay person in INDIA.

He can get new Passport any time he want, now marriage contract means?
If you are talking marriage licence you can get any time from reg office.
So what is the problem?
I think your husband is not telling you the truth and I think he is working with his family.

they dont have any right to steal your marriage contract or any of your belongings. this is illegal and against law.Also,it will not be of any use to them. file an application for getting a duplicate marriage contract declaring it “Lost”.

Indian husbands and their parents/relative demand and take huge dowry: cash, articles, ornaments, jewels, lands, houses etc. from bride and her parent. It is an ancient Hindu custom, tradition & culture since daughters have no share in parents’ properties as legal heirs, sons alone inherit. Hence bride burning/killing takes place to get rid of her. Dowry demand, harassment and subjecting wife to mental/physical cruelty is an offence but usually corrupt police helps culprits and they are not punished. Wives’ killing and ******* is not very un common in India.

forget all this what happened.just apply for duplicate copy of all and also apply fresh passport after lodging an FIR that the passport is lost somewhere.
and also it will not take extra time and just few days to complete all formalities and you will get all documents
then you can move ahead
forget what his family did and just move ahead
